My toes never tasted so good!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Emma Kate has outgrown her 3-6 month pj's and we bought her some new 6-9 months. I think they are so cute on her it is definitely picture worthy. However, if that is the case I will be taking her pictures constantly. Emma Kate is starting to think the camera is her mother :-) Anyway, you will also see that she enjoys chewing or sucking on most anything including her toes.

These 2 pictures is how we have begun to find Emma Kate in the morning or when she wakes up from a nap.

Professional Baby Pictures by Mom

Ok, so I am having some trouble with my blog. Don't ask me why it is underlining the text... I cannot figure it out. Also, the pictures are scattered about, but I could not figure out how to move them without erasing them. So, I hope you can see past the busyness of this post and see the adorable little girl in the blue and brown dress. Ok, go figure. I preview the post and come back to write more and boom... normal text! Anyway, we are trying to get a picture for her baby dedication pamphlet. I believe she is being dedicated on September 14th in Knoxville.

Emma Kate was pulling up on her monkey to chew on it. She ended up completely sideways in her bouncy. It is a good thing they have straps in these things or she would have been on her head.

Summer Fun

What an exciting day. Jara worked and I played!

A dear friend of mine that I work with came over with her daughter who is 6 weeks younger than Emma Kate. Emma Kate and Brianna looked at each other, punched each other, held hands, and Emma Kate sucked on Brianna fist. They are now officially best friends. That pretty much sums up their afternoon. Rebecca and I got to sit and have adult conversation and watch a girlie movie... yippee! We sure will miss them when we move to Knoxville.

"I am done already!!"

So, after bath time I tried to get some more pictures of Emma Kate sitting so pretty in her glider, but this is what she had to say about that ......

She is growing so fast up more than out. Jara and I went out today and had to buy her some more pj's. She seems to be too long for her 3-6 month, so we bought 6-9 month and she fills them up length wise. They are huge around her belly though.

Chair Ready

I was in Emma Kate's room folding clothes and Jara brings Emma Kate in and plops her down in her glider. He started to walk away and my heart jumped, I thought she was going to start gymnastics right then and there and tumble out of her seat. But, she did not. She sat so pretty and posed for some pictures before bath time.

Traveling

These days we are constantly taking trips back and forth to Knoxville. Emma Kate and Macie are not exactly sure where home is. This first picture is of Bailey and Macie strapped down in the back of the truck headed back to Johnson City. Jara still has some work to finish up here at our house before we move. We are putting in another bathroom down stairs in the basement. Here he is grouting the tile... or playing in mud, I am really not sure.

WARNING...NUDITY!

Emma Kate is 4 1/2 months old. We have spent the majority of our summer at my parents. She loves being there. They allow nudity and little more than we do at our house. She laid out on their sunporch naked for the longest time. She had a blast. Enjoy.

10 Year High School Reunion

Lindsey Jones, mercy what can I say.... "It's been real"! Lindsey is one of my goofiest friends. Makes me laugh so hard. I miss her.

Kobosky, we miss you. This is Kristin Kobosky, I don't even know how long we have known each other. We went to middle school, high school, and college together. We could not be more opposite, but what a great combination. I always needed someone to loosen me up a little :-)

Me and my dear friend Melissa Barclay. We played softball together since middle school. She was such a great friend all those years.

Well this past weekend Jara and I had the joy of meeting up with the Farragut High School clan of 1998. We had a blast. There was a tailgate party of Friday night where everyone brought their kids and it was wonderful. Jara walked Emma Kate around and she fell asleep in his arms and it was blazing hot! Needless to say he was sweating pretty bad. Then on Saturday night we all had dinner at L&N Station. There was a great band there, but they were a little on the loud side. We had to go outside to talk to people because you could not hear anything inside. Anyway, we had a great time! Wish I had more pictures to share, but I got a little side-tracked talking and forgot to take pictures.

Ok, so I am not getting anything else done today. I believe I have been working on the blog all day long. Who needs a clean house or food? Emma Kate is too cute to get anything done. She has started rolling over right and left. She gets frustrated after a while of being on her stomach, so I keep flipping her over and she keeps flipping right back. Well, this is a video of her laughing. So cute!!

4 Months Old

Emma Kate had her 4 month check up today. She weighs a whopping 13 pounds, 24 1/4 inches long. I asked Lindsay about Judson's weight and he weighed 13 pounds at 2 months. I believe he could squish Emma Kate. We will have to watch them carefully the next time they are together. She got 3 shots and cried. But, now she is sitting in my lap grabbing the laptop doing just fine.

Emma Kate does great traveling in the car. We were in there for such a long time traveling back from Jackson that her hand became her entertainment. Mom, Dad, Daniel, and Dave... do you remember Mickey Mouse. Emma Kate is bringing him back.

Fun times in West Tennessee

We traveled to Memphis for Jara's citizenship test (which he aced). Looks like I will be married to an American after all. Then went through Jackson to see my brother David at Union and visit with our dear friends, Chris, Jill, and Garrett. Jill sang in our Wedding (which by the way we just celebrated 4 years on August 15th).

Emma Kate has found her foot and just chews on her entire hand. She has become quite the talker. She enjoys riding in the van, most of the time. She has a mirror and enjoys looking at herself. Enjoy the video.

Sorry it has been so long since our last post. We were in Knoxville visiting family and in the meantime, we bought a house in Knoxville that went up for auction. So now we are trying to get our Johnson City home ready to sell and then do work on our new home. We will be just 6 minutes from my parents and 3 minutes from Church. Emma Kate is doing so great. She smiles all the time and is talking (making noises) more and more each day. I also started back to work on Sunday. I was nervous about being away from Emma Kate all day, but I believe I was more nervous about being a nurse again. Saturday night at diner Jara prayed for the patients I would be taking care of. I was blessed to work with such a great group of ladies that would help me out at the drop of a hat. My patient was stable so it was a great day. Jara and Emma Kate did wonderful. He did not call me all day and I only checked in 3 times, I think that is pretty good.
