10 Year High School Reunion

Lindsey Jones, mercy what can I say.... "It's been real"! Lindsey is one of my goofiest friends. Makes me laugh so hard. I miss her.

Kobosky, we miss you. This is Kristin Kobosky, I don't even know how long we have known each other. We went to middle school, high school, and college together. We could not be more opposite, but what a great combination. I always needed someone to loosen me up a little :-)

Me and my dear friend Melissa Barclay. We played softball together since middle school. She was such a great friend all those years.

Well this past weekend Jara and I had the joy of meeting up with the Farragut High School clan of 1998. We had a blast. There was a tailgate party of Friday night where everyone brought their kids and it was wonderful. Jara walked Emma Kate around and she fell asleep in his arms and it was blazing hot! Needless to say he was sweating pretty bad. Then on Saturday night we all had dinner at L&N Station. There was a great band there, but they were a little on the loud side. We had to go outside to talk to people because you could not hear anything inside. Anyway, we had a great time! Wish I had more pictures to share, but I got a little side-tracked talking and forgot to take pictures.

Ok, so I am not getting anything else done today. I believe I have been working on the blog all day long. Who needs a clean house or food? Emma Kate is too cute to get anything done. She has started rolling over right and left. She gets frustrated after a while of being on her stomach, so I keep flipping her over and she keeps flipping right back. Well, this is a video of her laughing. So cute!!

4 Months Old

Emma Kate had her 4 month check up today. She weighs a whopping 13 pounds, 24 1/4 inches long. I asked Lindsay about Judson's weight and he weighed 13 pounds at 2 months. I believe he could squish Emma Kate. We will have to watch them carefully the next time they are together. She got 3 shots and cried. But, now she is sitting in my lap grabbing the laptop doing just fine.

Emma Kate does great traveling in the car. We were in there for such a long time traveling back from Jackson that her hand became her entertainment. Mom, Dad, Daniel, and Dave... do you remember Mickey Mouse. Emma Kate is bringing him back.

We traveled to Memphis for Jara's citizenship test (which he aced). Looks like I will be married to an American after all. Then went through Jackson to see my brother David at Union and visit with our dear friends, Chris, Jill, and Garrett. Jill sang in our Wedding (which by the way we just celebrated 4 years on August 15th).

Emma Kate has found her foot and just chews on her entire hand. She has become quite the talker. She enjoys riding in the van, most of the time. She has a mirror and enjoys looking at herself. Enjoy the video.

Sorry it has been so long since our last post. We were in Knoxville visiting family and in the meantime, we bought a house in Knoxville that went up for auction. So now we are trying to get our Johnson City home ready to sell and then do work on our new home. We will be just 6 minutes from my parents and 3 minutes from Church. Emma Kate is doing so great. She smiles all the time and is talking (making noises) more and more each day. I also started back to work on Sunday. I was nervous about being away from Emma Kate all day, but I believe I was more nervous about being a nurse again. Saturday night at diner Jara prayed for the patients I would be taking care of. I was blessed to work with such a great group of ladies that would help me out at the drop of a hat. My patient was stable so it was a great day. Jara and Emma Kate did wonderful. He did not call me all day and I only checked in 3 times, I think that is pretty good.

First Almost Fever

The best way to get sugar is to wait until she is really hungry, then she will kiss all over you!

Well, I am a nurse and never am I concerned about a patient whose temp is 99.4... no big deal, unless they are a surgery patient. But, my little Emma Kate came down with an almost fever on Thursday. She woke up from a nap, I kissed her little forehead and it was hot. Her temp was 99.4. I felt so bad for her. I gave her Tylenol and by that night it was gone and I was much relieved. However, we went to the Doctor today because I thought she might have a yeast infection and the Doctor told me that 99.4 was not a fever and hold off on the Tylenol until 101. Yeah right. Maybe on my 2nd child. Anyway, she is almost 3 months old and weighs 11 lbs and 9 oz. I do believe our nephew, Judson, who is 6 weeks younger than Emma Kate is bigger than she is. Whoever thought that a Creswell would be bigger than someone? :-)
We will be headed to Knoxville next week to visit with my brother Daniel, Lindsay, Jacob, Isaac, and Judson. We can't wait! Good ole times at the Creswell Pool.

This is Judson, the newest addition to the family. Yes, newer than Emma Kate. Judson is Daniel and Lindsay's 3rd son. He was born May 18th. I believe now he is bigger than Emma Kate.

We went to North Carolina to visit Daniel, Lindsay, Jacob, Isaac, and Judson. This was the first time Emma Kate had met her cousins. Grammy and D-Dad were there also and we celebrated Mom's (Grammy's ) birthday.

Macie is thoroughly enjoying Jara being out in the back yard with her all day. She rolls her tennis ball to him constantly!! Macie is not interested in Emma Kate at all. I believe I could lay Emma Kate down in the grass and Macie would sniff around her looking for her ball and that would be about it.

Jara has been working on building us a new deck and Emma Kate decided to learn how to swing a hammer. I think we need to get her a little bit lighter hammer :-)

Thumb Sucker

Emma Kate is a thumb sucker (when she can find her thumb). We tried the passy, and she loves it, but she also loves her thumb. We were at D-Dad and Grammy's house eating dinner and Emma Kate was sitting beside the table in this swing.

Emma Kate's Morning Routine

Good morning!! This is Emma Kate in the morning, typically the happiest time of the day. Each morning we wake up, eat, change diaper and clothes then come out to our sunroom and Emma Kate plays in her bouncy. She only stays awake about an hour before is fussy and ready for the morning nap. So, that is where we are headed.
