9 1/2 months old, 16 lbs. 13 oz. 27 inches long. She is pure love! She was helping Mommy make lunch for Daddy. She was guarding the cheese to make sure no one stole it.

My brother David and cousin Chelsea. Dave is spending the next 7 months over seas. He actually just left this morning. He was growing a beard to help keep him warm. Apparently where he will be is extremely cold. We miss you Uncle Dave!

Christmas Fun with Judson

It was great having Judson and Emma Kate so close in age. However, Christmas was a little difficult since Emma Kate and Judson were both sick. We had to keep them apart for the most part. This is as close as they ever got.

D-Dad, Grammy, Isaac (3 1-2), Judson (6 1/2 months), Emma Kate (7 1/2 months), and Jacob (5 1/2).

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas. Even though we were all sick. Emma Kate and I came down with a cold a week or so before Christmas. Then during Christmas little Judson (our nephew who is 6 weeks younger than Emma Kate) came down with RSV. Dad, my brother Daniel and David, and my sister-in law Lindsay were all on Z-packs. Needless to say all we needed for Christmas were several boxes of Kleenex.

Emma Kate LOVES the dogs. I was taking them from the garage through the house to go out by the pool. Emma Kate just starts belly laughing as they were walking. So, I have sat her down in the sunporch for her to look at them.... Enjoy

Happy Thanksgiving

Jara, Emma Kate, and myself just returned from a fabulous Thanksgiving celebration at Daniel and Lindsay's house. We had not seen Jacob, Isaac, or Judson since the summer and it was wonderful to get to see them. Emma Kate thoroughly enjoyed all of the boys. She talked and talked to Judson, but he didn't like it all that much as you will see in one of the videos. David, AKA Spike flew in from Jackson to visit with us and John came from Liberty. So, everyone was there :-)

Emma Kate's 1st Halloween and Time alone with Daddy

The top pictures are of Emma Kate when I was working and Jara was in charge. He could not find the clothes I had packed for her, so he dressed her up in what he could find. He did pretty good. The Halloween pictures are of the card that Grammy and D-Dad gave Emma Kate. She really enjoyed the envelope.

Fall 2008

Well, I know it has been awhile since I have posted any pictures. My parents are still graciously allowing us to live at their house while we are trying to get ours ready to move into. We were really wanting to be in there by Christmas, but it is not looking good so far. As anyone who has done any remodeling or moved and having a 7 month old it is quite difficult and busy. Mom and Dad have helped us out so much. They have both kept Emma Kate at one time or another or they have been helping at one of the houses. We have been so thankful for their generous hearts. Emma Kate was enjoying the wonderful fall weather while Grammy was flying her like an airplane.

Ok, here she was fed up with the pictures. See, she is not always smiles. Just most of the time.

Bailey had to come and check out what we were doing. When ever Emma Kate is out and about Bailey is right there with her.

Emma Kate is teething and she thoroughly enjoyed chewing on Jara's belt.
